Chemistry Colorimeters for BMHS

A colorful round of applause goes out to Valeria Roberts and the DE AP Chemistry class at Battle Mountain High School for receiving an EFEC Classroom Grant! With two new Colorimeters, their experiments are guaranteed a dye-lightful win for learning science!
“One interesting lab that can be done in DE AP chemistry involves finding how much dye is used in blue Gatorade. A student is given a colorimeter and blue dye to find this. It ties a lot of concepts together such as molarity, Beer-Lambert Law, and reading a graph. The main tool needed is a colorimeter.” - Valeria Roberts
